EDUCATING YOUR BUSINESS AND STAFF ON Original Sovereign Nations of Australia our PEOPLES HISTORY AND CULTURE

YARN Australia's Cultural Competency Workshops and Mentoring teaches people how to respectfully work with Original Sovereign Nations of Australia their peoples and communities. Our workshops guide participants on ways to build cross-cultural relationships, emphasising the need for a deep understanding of effective communication.

YARN's aim is to empower participants with confidence to overcome commonly perceived cultural barriers, and to give each person tools to be able to handle challenging conversations and cultural complexities.

“Warren Roberts, Founder of YARN Australia took us through a workshop on how to share a yarn, on how to tell a story and taught us about the different ways on how to communicate, and that’s what this really all about. We don’t always need to try and fix things. We just need to listen and build a relationship from there and then amazing things can happen. I think we’re going down a path where we can find a place and treat each other as equals, regardless of where you come from. I think in terms of my role in helping build the knowledge and the understanding around Indigenous cultures, I think that’s just the beginning for me, I can’t wait to see where that journey goes. It’s an educational journey, I think it’s one we can all take.”
